I Am the River - I Am the River is a piece that wears many hats.  This particular scene has placed the sculpture in the river, representing the river of life that we all share and our connection to the forever changing circle of life.  As a tree falls into a river it provides cover for the fish beneath it.  It provides a perch for a bird to stand on or for a frog to take refuge on.  As it decays it becomes one with the earth and river again, giving back so that the growth can continue.

I Am the River was created using chicken wire, joint compound, panty hose, cardboard and an old tree stump.
